Without question the world as we have known it has changed over the past few weeks. The great international wing and clay target trips we discuss are at a standstill. Travel in America is at best at a crawl. This week Marty welcomes an old friend, John Wiles, to the show to discuss the state of the international wingshooting world as well as to discuss the latest craze for the wing and clay shooter - simulated driven. The simulated driven game started in the UK as real birds got too expensive. The shoots take on the same "royalty" treatment, but the birds are replaced by clay targets - thousands of them. John will have a great perspective on what's going on in the world and his understanding of the simulated driven shooting will be eye opening. In addition to that conversation, Marty will have the latest Wing & Clay News as well as a few tips on what you can do for wing and clay practice at home.

Marty Fischer
Marty Fischer is one of America’s best-known outdoor celebrities. A graduate of Georgia Southern College, he has been an outdoor television host for almost three decades on shows like Suzuki Great Outdoors on ESPN, Shotgun Journal on the Outdoor Life Network, TNT Outdoor Explosion and “If It Flies…” on the Pursuit Channel. He is a well-known outdoor writer who has authored two books, The Gun Digest Book of Shotgunning and Limbhangers and 4-Letter Words, a book on turkey hunting. In addition to his books, he has written articles for many of the top outdoor magazines on the market. Marty is a NSCA Level III Certified Instructor who has been coaching wing and clay shooters for more than 35 years. He was recently called “the most famous left handed wingshooter in the world” by the popular Shotgun Life website. He is an avid upland bird, waterfowl and turkey hunter who has harvested more than 100,000 gamebirds in 11 countries on four continents around the world and in more than 35 U.S. states. Marty has been a finalist in the World Duck Calling Championship in Stuttgart, Arkansas on four occasions, including a Top 5 finish in that event. He is also a public speaker and President of SportShooting Consultants, Ltd., a gun club design and consulting company that he has owned and managed since 1992.
