Phadra Hanks came from a background in contracts consulting and business finance, including her presentation on Strategic Business Planning focusing on the federal government. Phadra Hanks served as CEO of Hanks, Hanks and Associates, LLC a graduated 8(a) woman owned business. Phadra offered many years of experience as an entrepreneur, business owner and business consultant, having worked with numerous government agencies and partnering with other business concerns in a wide spectrum of industries in all growth stages and situations. In 2019, Phadra earned the State of Maryland Small Business Person of the Year Award. Until her passing in 2021, Phadra handled the strategic direction of the company and worked one on one with clients in helping them achieve business success. Phadra had years of extensive experience in Business and Strategic Planning, Marketing, Sales, Business Turnarounds, Business Consulting and Coaching, as well as Financial Analysis.
Phadra’s vision and direction for her radio program continues with her daughter, Precious Hanks Carter as host. Precious Carter is the Vice President of Human Resources for Hanks, Hanks and Associates where she has initiated multiple programs and implemented policies to attribute to the growth of the company. She has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Bowie State University, graduated cum laude and obtained a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Strayer University, graduating magna cum laude. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). In the past, she had partnered with the Small Business Administration to provide training to small businesses to help set up their human resources and accounting departments. In her current role, Precious provides oversight for all HR functions but zoned in on refining the recruitment process, advocating for learning and development and constantly evolving a competitive compensation and benefits package to give her current company that vying edge to attract the ideal employees. She tries to live a balanced life by volunteering in her community with her children’s activities, serving in ministries at church, volunteering at local shelters, and more.
