Episode Description

Kathryn interviews Author Adi Jaffe PhD. Having faced a potential decades-long prison sentence due to his own addiction as a young man before turning his life around, Dr. Adi Jaffe has crafted a successful treatment protocol that has helped thousands overcome harmful habits. His approach focuses on identifying the "hooks"—deep-rooted triggers behind compulsive behaviors—and replacing them with constructive habits for lasting recovery. As featured on CNN, GMA, TedX, Huffington Post, The Doctors, Dr. Drew, Jaffe is here to destigmatize addiction, debunk myths, address trauma, depression, and lack of purpose, and use bad habit change knowledge/tools to help you unhook for an addiction-free life. Dr. Jaffe now writes a blog on Psychology Today, and several other online and print sources. Kathryn also interviews Attorney Evan Schein. Do you share a bed with your partner? Increasingly, Americans are saying no. A new survey of more than 2,000 adults, conducted by the leading body of sleep research in the U.S., the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, has found that 29 percent of Americans—or nearly one in three—choose to sleep in a separate bed to their partner, a concept many have described as a "sleep divorce." New York City based Divorce Attorney Evan D. Schein is here to discuss the many divorce options for couples. He is a partner with Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein. He leads the firm’s litigation practice, leading a team of 28 highly regarded matrimonial attorneys. He is also the host of the Schein On podcast, where he holds in-depth interviews with judges, psychotherapists, authors, athletes, filmmakers, and divorce professionals, on topics like the psychology of divorce.
