This VoiceAmerica Special-- Humanity’s Moment of Choice: Summit of the Future-- is on the occasion of the United Nations September 2024 “Summit of the Future” and the event “The Deep and Rapid Transformation Convergence” being held at the Synod House of the Cathedral St. John the Divine in New York City in advance of the Summit on September 19, 2024. The Special speaks with the global leaders who have created the Deep and Rapid Transformation Convergence Event, now also known as the DRTC. The DRTC— see an information page at http://p0.vresp.com/4nPa1j -- is an initiative of the SDG Thought Leaders Circle (sdgthoughtleaderscircle.org) of the Evolutionary Leaders and it is aimed at influencing the achievement of the Summit of the Future (SoF) by infusing it with unitive principles and praxes.? The DRTC is composed of key thought leaders from each of the major dimensions of the SoF who are engaged in defining the core strategies needed to ensure that goals of the Summit, like the Sustainable Development Goals (embraced by 193 nations) are achieved in a way that serves all. Please see the biographies of the Special’s guests who will be introduced more briefly on the program itself. They are all affiliated with the Evolutionary Leaders, a project of the Source of Synergy Foundation, and include Diane Marie Williams, Daniel Stone, Heidi Sparkes Guber, Dr. Joni Carley, Dr. Richard Clugston, Tezikiah Gabriel, Dr. Jude Currivan and Emanuel Kuntzelman. Dr. Kurt Johnson, with Ben Bowler, Doug King and our Correspondents
Dr. Kurt Johnson is a well-known scientist who is also a founder of the world's Interspiritual Movement. Author of the influential book The Coming Interspiritual Age and two bestselling books in popular science, he joins Australian interfaith leader Ben Bowler and American integral thinker Doug King in welcoming women and men from around the world to discuss change, and the ideas driving change worldwide today.
With expertise in evolutionary science, comparative culture and religion, and even mysticism, Kurt serves on diverse international boards and committees across the world service community. These include The Interspiritual Network, One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, Friends of the Institute of Noetic Science, Gaiafield, The Evolutionary Leaders, Forum 21 Institute, The National Ethical Service, Self Care to Earth Care, Community of The Mystic Heart, and the United Nations NGO committees on Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns and The International Yoga Day. Ordained in a half dozen spiritual traditions he brings a broad firsthand knowledge of world spirituality.
