Episode Description
Few can argue that the food we eat today is considerably different than what was consumed by our parents and grandparents a generation or two prior. Dubbed the generation of convenience, our food is all too often processed with genetically engineered ingredients, preservatives, pesticides and chemicals. Tune in as I interview real food bloggers, Kristine Cocchiarella and Julie, and hear their stories that led them to changing the way they cook for their families, and, ultimately, to real food blogging. They will also share recipes that utilize unprocessed and unmodified ingredients – and provide strategies for incorporating these recipes into one’s daily life.

Approximately 8 years ago, in my early 30's, I started having unexplainable health symptoms. Daily headaches, heart palpitations, restless sleep, vision disturbances, anxiety and other debilitating symptoms became common-place. Unfortunately, this led to several years of deteriorating health.
After visiting countless doctors, undergoing test-after-test, and practically being on my death-bed, I finally met a doctor who had experienced and overcame Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) first-hand. He was literally the first person who was able to diagnose and help. He explained that, because my toxic bucket had overflowed, my body was almost literally shutting down. He explained that everyone has a certain sized bucket that will hold a certain amount of toxins. However, once that bucket is filled, it will overflow and have adverse effects on the body. This was me.
It was after overcoming these personal health challenges resulting from toxins, stress and an unhealthy diet that my career changed from positions in corporate America to that of a fierce advocate for health-and-wellness. I am currently the owner of Living Natural Today, and also a Regional Marketing Director with Youngevity. In my business and on my blog I share resources about organic food, healthy living and the detrimental impact toxins can have on the body, all in in an effort to encourage others to live a more natural and healthy lifestyle.
