Memorial Day is fast approaching. It is a day in which our Nation remembers the military men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice. The unique demands, stress, and joys that the family experience can be particularly hard for the children. On May 20, Kimberly Stewart will be joined by Alia Reese, a military wife who has found ways to keep her Marine family strong and connected. Through her children’s books and her blogs she touches her fellow military families and together they stay strong when their loved ones are deployed. Kimberly Stewart founded Stepping Stone Consulting, LLC with the vision to apply her twenty plus years of information technology program management to small businesses and organizations helping them implement successful projects and sustain effective business processes. Ms. Stewart has worked with and for non-profits, private industry, and the Federal Government experiencing and navigating through a spectrum of organizational processes, politics, and hierarchy. Today, Ms. Stewart works directly with her Federal government and small business clients’ program managers to support them in their program executions. She has successfully implemented multi-million dollar IT systems that have been integral to the organizations’ supply chains, set-up program management offices that were key to receiving national award recognition, and consulted with small businesses and their program managers. The key tenets to Stepping Stone Consulting’s business philosophy are partnership, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and creative problem solving. Ms. Stewart is a member of the Program Management Institute, U.S. Women Chamber of Commerce, and National Association of Professional Women. In addition, Kimberly is an active community advocate being on the Associate Board of Directors for Wolf Trap Foundation, an avid supporter of Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and a Girl Scout Troop Leader.
