Life After the Game is a radio show that explores the inside world of athletes and how they handle their business affairs outside of the interviews and lifestyle that we see in the media. It focuses on athletes in the business world and exposes their intelligence, creativity and success beyond their sport. We will profile current and retired professional athletes from different sports. You will experience insight into health, business and aspects of lifestyle of the subject as they navigate through their businesses and/or organizations. Life After the Game shines a different light on the professional athlete, one that spotlights their intellectual accomplishments rather than their athletic ones. It will also focus on the opportunities that are available with different business organizations, franchises and CEO’s. We will get to know their motivations goals and personalities in their “Life After the Game.”

LaMar Campbell

LaMar Campbell was born and grew up in in Chester, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. He attended the University of Wisconsin in 1994 and left the University as a free agent into the NFL with the Detroit Lions. He played with the Detroit Lions from 1998-2004. While in Detroit he participated in many in many charitable programs including Big brother and Big Sister of Detroit and volunteered regularly at Campbell Elementary School.

After the NFL he then went on to intern in the Detroit Lions Scouting Department. During this period LaMar fell in love the aspect of Player Development and the opportunities that he missed while still a player to further advance his career after his playing days. After becoming a licensed realtor in Atlanta, Lamar then proceeded to take advantage of the prestigious Wharton School of Business in the Sports Business Initiative Program offered by the NFL Player Development and studied real estate development and planning.

In 2007 Lamar opened his own real estate company in Atlanta, The Success of Real Estate LLC. LaMar currently devotes all his time to help people achieve home ownership as well as small business ventures and franchising. LaMar has begun a second career helping retired athletes transition from professional athletics to the corporate realm. He is an active member of the Atlanta.NFLPA . He is a fervent fan of Philly and Detroit based professional and high school sports.
