Each of us make decisions every day, and while each decision impacts those around us to some degree, some are life-altering for everyone involved. Some people make decisions easily and quickly while others others struggles. Your probably learn one way or the other most of the time, but some things are more easily decided than others. In today's analogy, the Squirrel Story, two squirrels play out this real-life dilemma. One squirrel is nervously indecisive while the other is quickly decisive. Real-life scenarios describe the meaning of the Squirrel Story, which was developed and written by Dr. Rita through years of counseling. We will discover why some people react to decision-making the way they do, and we'll learn the characteristics each type of decision-maker possesses. Dr. Rita Huang
Dr. Rita Huang, M.A., M.Ed., Ph. D., Psy.D. is a nationally certified psychologist. Her two Masters and two Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Child and Adolescence Psychology and Counseling Psychology were earned at the nationally recognized Stetson University, Michigan State University, and California Southern University. Formerly, Dr. Rita served as a therapist at Dr. Paul Meier’s New Life Clinic, and as the former Director of Trinity Christian Counseling Ministry at Trinity Church in Lansing, Michigan. Now running her own private practice in Michigan, she provides counseling to children, adolescents, couples, individuals and seniors, referred to her from over a hundred churches and physicians’ offices in the Greater Lansing area. Dr. Rita received the Best Counselor Award for 2008 - 2014 from the National Local Business Association and is in the Hall of Fame for “Best Counselor.” In addition to her practice, she assists churches with the evaluation, interview and recommendation of pastors and ministry staff. She is the author of Silver Lining: Testimonies for those who are in Pain, and is also the author of The Hippo that fell off the Seesaw and other Parables from Christian Counseling. Dr. Rita speaks at local churches and national conferences. By using real-life scenarios to illuminate new insights and coping strategies, she provides a fresh perspective on how to wisely navigate the challenges of life in a fun, simple and memorable ways.
